AWS - Automatic Warning System magnets
Introduced during the 1950s by British Rail to provide a train driver with an audible warning and visual reminder that they are approaching signals at caution, reduction in permissible speeds, and temporary or emergency speed restrictions.
Magnets are placed in the 4-foot between the running rails attached to the sleepers, on the approach to signals or speed restrictions.
Set of 10 Magnets:-
- 4-Standard,
- 2-Bidirectional,
- 2-depot test magnets,
- 2-temporary warning magnets
NOTE:- these AWS Magnets are not suitable for Hornby TT:120 track, an option for this type of track will be available soon.
