      Pipes and jumper cables for both ends of one Buffer Fitted HST Power Car / Surrogate DVT.

      Suitable for fitting to an HST buffer fitted power car of the type that were converted in 1987 to operate as surrogate DVTs in tandem with the Class 91 electric locomotives and a rake of Mk3 coaches, please read the full Product Description below.

      Add some extra detail to your locomotives or replace missing accessory buffer beam details.

      This set of brake pipes is enough for both ends of one Buffer Fitted HST Power Car / Surrogate DVT, the UNPAINTED pack includes:-

      For the front of the Power Car
      1 - Air Brake Pipe (BP) - Red
      2 - Main Reservoir Air Pipes (MRP) - Yellow
      1 - ETH (Electric Train Heating) Jumper Cable (ETH) - Orange
      1 - ETH (Electric Train Heating) Jumper Receptacle (ETH) - Orange
      1 - HST AC Power Receptacle (415v) - Orange

      For the rear of the Power Car
      2 - Air Brake Pipes (BP) - Red
      2 - Main Reservoir Air Pipes (MRP) - Yellow
      2 - HST AC Power Receptacles (415v) - Orange
      1 - HST 36-way Jumper Receptacle (36w) - Orange
      1 - Dummy Buckeye Coupler (BE) - Black

      Notes:-

      • There were variations between eight Buffer Fitted Power Cars in pipe & cable configurations, fitting and placement; therefore it is recommended to refer to photographs of the real thing when fitting these parts.
        The eight Power Cars converted with Buffer Fitted were 43013, 43014, 43065, 43067, 43068, 43080, 43084 and 43123. Some were later renumbered.
        It is believed that the ETH connections were only fitted to some of the Surrogate DVT Power Cars for a short period after conversion in 1987.
      • The brake pipes have a 0.7mm peg that can be fitted into a drilled hole in the buffer beam, alternatively the peg can be cut-off and the pipe attached with a small amount of adhesive.
        The jumper cables and receptacles are intended to fit under of beside the headstock with a small dab of adhesive.
      • These parts are delicate and may not be suitable for use with couplings fitted, especially on tighter radius curves.
      • The pipes are supplied unpainted, please refer to pictures for typical colours.
      • Top-Tip - use a light coat of white primer first, and paint the pipes before removing them from the sprue.
