1500v DC OHLE Lattice Type Platform Structure Kit - 2 Masts with 190mm Span (SET E7-5)

Detailed Overhead Line Equipment Structure Kit – 1500vDC Lattice type Platform structure, incl. Magnetic Bases, typical of a type fitted to the Woodhead and Great Eastern Main Line routes.

OO Gauge SET E7-5 - product code 4WH0900705

This set E7-5 includes parts to construct One (1) detailed Lattice type Platform structure that has a span of 190mm. 

Two Mast Bases are included in the kit, with four magnets to fit into the bases and OHLE structure. The use of magnets allows the OHLE structures to be easily removed and re-fitted on your layout.

PLEASE NOTE - the registration arms are NOT included and should be purchased separately.

Registration Arm and Catenary Wire Support options for the Lattice type Structure available to Purchase Separately are as follows:-

• SET E7-10 - Two Single Type Registration Arms and two Catenary Wire Supports (magnetic type to allow fitting of Peco type OHL wires) note [wires are not included] - Product code 4WH0900710

• SET E7-11 - One Double Type Registration Arm and two Catenary Wire Supports (magnetic type to allow fitting of Peco type OHL wires) note [wires are not included] - Product code 4WH0900711

All parts are supplied unpainted on sprues. Preparation and assembly with glue is required. Before painting it is recommended to apply a light coat of primer. Instructions are available on-line or paper copy by special request only at the time of ordering. Glue and paint is not included.

Regarding the spacing of OHLE masts, the real railway mast spacing can be vary between about 20metres and 70metres which equates to 260 to 920mm in OO Gauge. In general mast spacing is likely to be closer together at junctions and on sharper curves.

The Peco wires are available in the following lengths 200mm, 260mm, 340mm, 380mm and 500mm, so if you are fitting wires then it makes sense to space your masts to suit the Peco wire lengths. [wires are not included in this kit]

OHLE Structure kit (SET E7-5) assembled dimensions:-

• Overall height above your platform (including bases) - 88mm

• Overall length of structure (across the tracks) - 210mm

• Nominal Span distance between inner edge of Bases - 190mm

• Overall width of structure - 14mm

• Nominal height of contact wire (if fitted to Magnetic Registration Arms) - 78mm above baseboard [wires not included], this is assuming a nominal 18mm Platform height.
