Class 52 Western diesel hydraulic locomotives are fitted with 3-axle bogies of 12ft 2in wheelbase, with two stage suspension and integral air braking equipment. The intermediate gearbox mounted on the bogie frame transmits the traction drive through cardan shafts to final drive units on each axle
This detailed static model of a Class 52 bogie is intended to be used in depot/workshop or scrapyard scenes on your layout
