Class 37 locomotives are fitted with an EE 12CSVT power unit originally rated at 1,750bhp.
This detailed model of a Class 37 power unit is intended to be used in depot/workshop or scrapyard scenes on your layout.
Overall Length approx. 14cm.
This model is supplied unpainted, on the print sprue, and will need to be carefully removed by using fine Sprue Cutters. Once removed from the sprue a light coat of primer is recommended before painting as desired to suit your layout.
Note this model represents a typical power unit and generator of the type fitted to Class 37/0 locomotives when built.

Just browsing this site and can not believe that there is not a single review of this diesel power unit. I purchased mine some time ago and took great delight in carefully removing the spruces and exposing the exquisite detail. I have yet to find the time to paint the details but they are perfect in every way. I know 3D printing is the accepted thing nowadays but it is easy to overlook the hours of work in measuring, researching and putting this much detail into a computer CAD system. It is perfect in every detail! Brilliant piece of craftsmanship. The class 55 power unit is also a brilliant achievement.
